Insofar as personal data (e.g., name, address, or email addresses) is collected on our pages, this is done – as far as possible – always on a voluntary basis (e.g., in the contact form), but becomes mandatory for contract processing when making a booking.

3. Data Collection when Booking a Vacation Rental
When you book a vacation rental (holiday apartment) via our website, we collect personal data that is necessary for the execution of the rental agreement and for the fulfillment of legal obligations.
What data we collect
As part of the booking process, we request the following data:
Data of the main booker:
- First and Last Name
- Address (Street, House number, ZIP code, City, Country)
- Date of Birth
- Contact details (Email address, Phone number if applicable)
Booking details:
- Travel period (Arrival and Departure)
- Booking price and Payment details
Data of accompanying persons (Fellow travelers):
- First and Last Name
- Date of Birth (this is particularly relevant for the calculation of the tourist tax and for registration forms)
- Note: This includes data of minors.
Purpose of Data Processing
This data is processed for the following purposes:
- Contract performance: To confirm the booking, issue the invoice, and enable access to the vacation rental.
- Communication: To send you booking confirmations, arrival information, or to answer queries.
- Legal reporting obligation (Registration form / "Meldeschein"): In many municipalities, we as landlords are obliged to register guests (including date of birth and accompanying persons) with the municipality or the tourism association and, if necessary, to pay visitor's tax (Kurtaxe).
Legal Basis
The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. Insofar as we are obliged to create registration forms, the processing is also carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (Compliance with a legal obligation) in conjunction with the Federal Registration Act (Bundesmeldegesetz - BMG) and local statutes.
Handling Data of Accompanying Persons and Minors
If you make a booking for several people, you hereby declare that you are authorized to transmit the data of the accompanying persons (in particular also the data of minors/children) to us. This data is used exclusively for the fulfillment of the above-mentioned purposes (occupancy check, registration form).
4. Storage Duration
We store your personal data only as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for by the storage periods required by law.
- Booking data and Invoices: Must generally be kept for 10 years due to tax regulations.
- Registration forms (Meldescheine): These are kept in accordance with legal requirements (usually 12 months after departure) and then destroyed.
- Inquiries without booking: Are deleted after the inquiry has been dealt with.
5. Sharing Data with Third Parties
Your personal data will only be transmitted to third parties in the following cases:
- Service Providers: E.g., cleaning services (only name and arrival period) or key services, if necessary for processing.
- Authorities: To the responsible municipality/tourism association for the settlement of the visitor's tax (registration reporting system).
- Payment Processing: To banks for processing payments or refunds.
- Tax Advisor/Tax Office: To fulfill our tax obligations.
Data will not be passed on for advertising purposes.
6. Cookies and Server Log Files
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data to protect a legitimate interest (technically error-free presentation and optimization of the website).
